A Legacy of Excellence With over two years of distinguished service in the Nigerian insurance industry, Mrs. Bimbo Onakomaiya stands as a paragon of professional integrity and strategic leadership. As the 15th President of PILA, she carries forward a 53-year legacy founded in 1973, ensuring the association remains the primary voice for women in the insurance ecosystem. Her tenure is dedicated to honoring the “Sands of Time” preserving the historical backlogs of our pioneers while modernizing our professional landscape.

Commitment to Governance A staunch advocate for institutional transparency, Mrs. Bimbo Onakomaiya has been instrumental in upholding the constitutional standards first established in 1987. Her leadership reflects the “Peace of Mind” that comes from rigorous governance, building upon the foundations of the 2020 Constitution to foster a more inclusive and resilient association.

Visionary Growth Beyond her executive duties, she is a mentor committed to professional growth. She championed the expansion of our technical resources, and the completion of PILA house secretariat has been further enhanced by the commissioning of a well stocked Remin Olowude (OON) library. Mrs. Bimbo Onakomaiya continues to strengthen our strategic partnerships with industry pillars, amplifying the collective power of women in the boardroom.
