Folashade Onanuga
Mrs. Folashade Onanuga is a woman of substance, a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute of London, Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators and also Fellow of the Certified Pension Institute.
She is a renowned Chartered Insurance Practitioner, with over 30 years management experience and bestrode the insurance sector like a colossus.
She was former General Manager/Chief Executive Officer of Glanvill Enthoven Life & Pension Consultants.
First Executive Director/Chief Operating Officer of FUG Pensions now Veritas Glanvills Pensions Limited.
She was appointed as the Director General of Lagos State Pension Commission (LASPEC,) in 2015. She has been instrumental to series of innovations in pension administration of the Commission which has earned the Commission and the State Government various awards of Excellence both in Nigeria and in Africa. She retired upon the successful completion of her 5-year tenure of office in June 2020.
She is a visionary who sees the big picture in Insurance and Pension practice, she has held prestigious positions in the Insurance & Pension Industry. She was President of the Professional Insurance Ladies Association between 2006 to 2008; she is also an Ex-Officio Member of the Association, a past member of the Council of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria
She has presented papers severally on pension issues; she is a regular facilitator on training by many bodies, such as, The Society of Women Accountants of Nigeria, the Certified Pension Institute of Nigeria; a discussant at many Professional Fora of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria.
She has travelled far and wide in the advancement of her career as a Pension Consultant and has had the benefits of many foreign seminars and training programmes.
